Megiddo: Omega Code 2
Michael has signed to do "Megiddo," a sequel to The
Omega Code (1999), which starred Casper Van Dien. Michael York will reprise
his role as Stone Alexander from the first film. Megiddo is currently scheduled
for release in late 2001.
Michael will be playing David Alexander, Stone's younger brother.
Stone Alexander murdered his own father so that he could use the old man’s media
empire and immense wealth to become head of the European Union, and eventually
gather enough political power to take over the world. Having already been defeated
by Gillen Lane in The Omega Code, Stone is again ready to rule the world. The
only thing standing in his way this time is his brother, David, who is President
of the United States.
Leaving a trail of murder and deception everywhere he goes, Stone finally brings
about the beginning of the end of the world, aligning his evil forces against
the United States and Latin America. He gathers all his forces on the plains
of Megiddo to face off against his enemies led by his brother, David, in a final
Armageddon. It is here that Stone reveals his true identity. He is Satan himself
and has brought the armed might of the world together so that men will destroy
each other while he claims their souls. The mightiest battle in the history
of the world rages while Stone looks on in triumph as his forces threaten to
overcome all who resist. But then, when things look their bleakest, God intervenes
and uses his incredible power to destroy the evil that has blanketed the plains
of Megiddo. In a startling climax, Stone literally sheds his skin to reveal
what the Beast looks like. He tries to rally his troops, but God is too strong
and using David as his instrument, God sends the Devil back to hell.

Megiddo is an ancient city located along some very important trade routes during ancient times. It was also considered strategic, for he who controlled Meggido, controlled the trade routes. Meggido has also been associated with the End of Times, the location where the final battle between good and evil will occur (Armageddon - Revelation 16:16). |

Stone Alexander (Michael York) disarms Gillen Lane
(Casper Van Dien) in The Omega
Code
| Stone Alexander is sent, as a small boy, to Military
Academy in Italy where he is possessed by the devil. In short order
he grows up to be a ruthless young man guided by a mysterious and charismatic
“prophet” who calls himself The Guardian. Stone’s father, a powerful
media mogul threatens to disinherit Stone and his brother, David. Fearing
the loss of his father’s money and power, Stone murders him. After
he marries the beautiful daughter of the academy’s commander and using
his late father’s media empire, goes on to become head of the New European
Union. Meanwhile, Stone’s younger brother, David, becomes a United States
Congressman. Stone uses his power and wealth to perform miracles the world over. He devises a way to irrigate the Sahara desert, brings a seemingly lasting peace to the middle-east, and practically ends world hunger. In the process he becomes world famous and acquires an immense amount of political power and social influence. Stone's wife, Gabriella, forms a charitable foundation that provides aide to countries all around the world. Eventually Stone declares himself both ruler of the world and God. He uses his power to bring together almost all of the world’s nations into one union, divided into zones and ruled by him. Only China, the United States and Latin America hold out. By now, David, has become Vice-President, and works side by side with the President in an effort to stop Stone from taking over the entire world. Stone uses his hellish powers to kill the President and frame David for the murder of their father. As President, David is determined to keep his country out of the New World Union, and to destroy his brother who has revealed himself to be a force of evil. Stone reveals his plan of world conquest, everything hinging on the cooperation of the nations under his power. If he can persuade the Chinese to join him, then the U.S. and Latin America will not be able to stand against him. At this point, Stone challenges God to stop him and God releases the first of the “Seven Bowls of Wrath” upon the earth. Stone uses the disasters being visited upon the world to his own ends, convincing people that these things are happening because they have not obeyed him. David is forced to flee the White House when Stone’s political henchmen try to have him arrested for murder. David escapes and makes his way to the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean, where he finds American military leaders that have remained loyal to him. Stone gathers the military might of the world at Megiddo to play out his version of Armageddon. The Chinese capitulate and join Stone’s forces that practically ensure world domination for Stone and his forces of evil. David leads a commando raid on Stone’s castle home in Italy and finds the beautiful Gabriella has been tortured by Stone after she discovered who he really was. She tells David that he is the Chosen One. That only he can defeat Stone. David resists the idea of the fate of the world being in his hands, but an encounter with a priest in a church convinces him that God has chosen him for this task. David then goes to Megiddo, where he sets up headquarters for the Americans. Afraid that perhaps they will be outnumbered and defeated in battle, David leads another commando raid in an effort to eliminate Stone and prevent needless bloodshed. Once again, Stone’s forces of evil are waiting for David and his men. David is the only survivor and comes close to killing his brother, but fails and is taken prisoner. What Stone doesn’t realize is that the Chinese and the Americans have formed a bond and the Chinese turn their guns onto Stone’s forces at Megiddo. A huge battle erupts with the Americans, the Chinese and the Latin American forces attempting to destroy Stone’s massive army. While the battle rages, Stone reveals to David that who wins isn’t important, that he has been battling with God for possession of the souls of men! The bodies are nothing but trophies for him. The fierce battle seesaws back and forth and when it looks as if God’s forces will win, Stone literally sheds his skin and reveals to his brother that he is The Beast! Stone uses his evil power to rally his troops and it looks as if he will triumph. But then God intervenes, using his power to overcome the evil that Stone has loosed upon the battlefield. Stone realizes that God is too powerful for him, and knows he will lose the battle and be sent back to hell. In one last spasm of vengeance, Stone mortally wounds his brother, David. A chasm opens beneath Stone and he clings to the edge, not wanting to return to hell and everlasting damnation. But David, using his last bit of strength, sends The Beast plummeting into hell. |
